Hey y'all! I am Shelby L.B. a mom of two young ones who is chasing a long-time dream of publishing children's books.

Reading is one of my greatest joys, but reading to my kids takes the cake. There's nothing better than slowing down, snuggling up, and sharing a story together. I am a big believer that books aren't just entertainment, but a means to make a memory. Reading to and with your children is a way to connect, a way to teach, and a way to soak up them being little before it slips through your fingers. 

 

My stories are written just as much for you as they are for your kids. I hope they remind you to take a deep breath, be present, and listen for the sweetest sound in the world: your child's laughter (especially when it's not maniacal... for once).

My hope is simple: that your family returns to these books again and again. That my books become ones you tuck into storage to read to future grandchildren. The ones you think of to gift for baby showers, birthdays, and those moments when a mom in your life needs a little pick-me-up.

My other hope is that when you hear them say "One more book...", that you often times look them in the eyes, remember babies don't keep, and say "Yes, of course!"
