Hey y'all! I am Shelby L.B. and I am the chaos coordinator, bedtime story boss, CEO of house chores, snack distribution, and morning madness-- and now children's book author!

If your evenings look like mine, story time rolls in right after the evening "witching hour". Yeah yeah, you know what I'm talking about... the time of day between dinner and bedtime when you are one mishap away from losing it, but then it's suddenly time to sit down with your little one's and read a story like everything is calm and cozy.  Yeah, THAT hour.

Well, those moments are partly what brought me here-- I wanted to write books not just for the kiddos- but for the adults who are running on fumes and still making the time to read to their kids! (Yes, I'm talking to you.. the one with the over sized clothes and day 3 hair.) Because in that last moment of the day- when you're fried, frazzled, out-touched, and somehow still smiling sweetly at your rotten little warlords- what better way to end the day than with a laugh with the ones you love most?

These stories are just as much for you as they are for your kids. To help you to remember to take a  death breath and soak it all in, and to help give you one of the greatest gifts of life:  the sound of your child's laughter (especially when it's not maniacal- for once).

My hope is simple... that your family picks up these books again and again and loves them as much as I have loved writing them. That my books are the ones you put into a storage bin to save for your future grand children. The books you want to buy for the baby showers and birthdays to spread a little more joy to a mom who will inevitably need the pick-me-up. Simply, the books you and your family LOVE.
